NORTH AMERICA'S BEST MOTORCYCLE, DRIVING, & CYCLING ROADS

It's a stretch to consider Hawaii "North America", but considering it is a US state we're letting it into the mix.   

The road to Hana is more than just a scenic drive. The road is also a journey through the history and culture of Maui, where you can disover some of the most popular stops and hidden gems on the island.  Some highlithts include:

• Wai’anapanapa State Park: This park is a must-see on the road to Hana, where you can enjoy the freshwater pools, the volcanic coastal views, hiking trails, and the black volcanic sands at Pailoa Bay.
• Pīpīwai Trail: This trail is located at the end of the road to Hana, in Kīpahulu.  Bamboo forests and a 400-foot waterfall await you.
• ‘Ohe’o Gulch: Also known as the Seven Sacred Pools, this is a series of cascading pools and waterfalls that flow into the ocean. You can take a break and swim here, just be cautious.

These are just some of the amazing sights you can see on the road to Hana. Research the rainbow eucalyptus trees, Garden of Eden Arboretum, and the Keanae Peninsula for more stops...and of course there's local food to enjoy along the way.  Bottom line is the road to Hana is a full-day adventure that will leave you breathless and in awe of Maui’s beauty, and this is exactly why it's on our list.

Route 66 runs from Chicago, Illinois, nearly 2,500 miles to Santa Monica, California.  It is the Main Street of America, and before the time of highways this route connected most of the country.  Route 66 is a pop-culture star, and is featured in numerous shows, films. and documentaries.  The reason for the fame: its historic value.  You'll find many car and motorcycle clubs venture the whole length, stopping at historic sights for the olden days of the USA.  There is so much to this road, that it is a must for a "bucket list."  Have a look at the great video below for more detailed information.
