NORTH AMERICA'S BEST MOTORCYCLE, DRIVING, & CYCLING ROADS

Virginia State Road 16 recently was coined "The Back of the Dragon," and can certainly hold its own when compared to its colleague.  Its 438 curves through rural Virginia wields great scenery and a relatively open ride.  Be cautious of vehicles and farm trucks entering the highway, however, they have caused incidents on the road.  But don't let this steer you away; the nearby city of Tazewell has a booming economy due to this road, and the Back of the Dragon makes for an excellent day ride or overnight vacation.

The Shenandoah National Park boats the Skyline Drive -- 105 miles of a curved wonderland and well worth the price of entrance.  Consider konkring this road as part of a longer vacation, as the nearby areas feature an array of US Civil War history as well as excellent hiking trails, restaurants, and hotels.  The absolute best time to konkr this road is in the fall (mid-October) when the leaves are turning.
