Contrary to popular belief, there is no "Autobahn" in Germany. Autobahn is simply the German name for Highway. Another myth: autobahns have no speed limit. They do...just no all the time and not in all areas. With that said, Konkr Roads brings you to A93 Autobahn. The A93 runs from near the Czech border in the North to Munich in the South, and there is much to speak of in-between. The A93 runs through the heart of Bavaria, and with this comes endless rolling hills, breweries like the Weltenberger, castles, more breweries, and magnificent hops fields. Best of all, the road has very few areas where a speed limit exists, especially south of Regensburg. Add in well paved roads and very little tourist traffic (they take the A9...watch out in the summer) and you have what we consider the greatest stretch of Autobahn in Germany.
*Note 1: German beer is wonderful, but never drink and drive.
*Note 2: Drive safely, ensure you know the speed ratings of your tires

Germany's B500 region is where fairy tails originated and come to life. As far as keeping the family happy on a trip to the Black Forest and Triberg area, you need not worry. For you, the B500 is a glorious road that sweeps and swoops about the fabled trees. The pavement is excellent, the lanes are clearly marked and wide, and the high German National speed limit of 100kph (~62mph) persists for much of the road. Many turns exists, including rather rambunctious hairpins and abrupt button-hooks. You'll enjoy this road be it in a super-car or micro-hatchback.
