NORTH AMERICA'S BEST MOTORCYCLE, DRIVING, & CYCLING ROADS

ICEFIELDS PARKWAY - CANADA

Road Opened: 1885

Also Known As: Promenade des Glaciers ; Alberta Highway 93

Road Length: 140 Miles (230 km)

Claim to Fame: Epic Views, to Include Glaciers

Best Time to Konkr: June to September

The incredible Icefields Parkway makes our list due to its incredible scenery, which features the Canadian Rockies, glaciers, lakes, and wildlife that most have never before witnessed.  This is a special place, and if you make the trip to nearby Banff then surely you must conquer this road.  You'll be grateful you did!

PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY - CALIFORNIA

Road Opened: 1964 (official for full road)

Also Known As: California State Route 1

Road Length: 656 Miles (1,056 km)

Claim to Fame: Big Sur Region

Best Time to Konkr: All Year

The Pacific Coast Highway, or PCH, needs little introduction.  It is quite possibly the most scenic coastal road on all our lists, and the portion of Route 1 at the Big Sur and south is a road of dreams.  Words do little to give justice; have a look at the drone video below:

7 MILE BRIDGE - FLORIDA

Road Opened: 1982

Also Known As: Bridge to the Keys

Road Length: 7 Miles (11.2 km)

Best Time to Konkr: All Year

The 7 Mile Bridge is surely the straightest road on our list.  In fact, it doesn't have a curve on it.  However, the magnificent experience one feels when driving across this bridge is tough to parallel.  Going across this bridge, with nothing but water on the horizon, gives a feeling of hovering across the ocean.  It's remarkable.  Plus, the destination is either a fun Miami if heading north, or the historic Florida Keys to the south, so both directions of travel keep a smile on the face.  A word of caution...if you get stuck behind a caravan you'll dread life.  Legally, you cannot pass on the road, and the speed limit is terribly slow.  We suggest you pull of to fish, catch some sun, or have a bite rather than road road your way to your destination.
